Tamaryokucha (Guricha) means “coiled-green-tea”, and Guricha means “curly-tea” (Guri being the name of a classic Japanese decorative pattern, of curly appearance). Both names refer to the comma-shaped, coiled leaves.
Like authentic
Gyokuro Tea, it features rich umami and sweetness. It was carefully shaded with rice straw by placing them directly on top of a new shoot of the first harvest. The method adds an intensely rich taste and beautiful chestnuts-like flavor on the premium tea.
We have two types of Tamaryokucha which are different from the way of processing.
